It will adhere to starboard to use as a caulk for sealing purposes but it will not be strong enough to be a structural bond. It will depend on your intended use as to whether it will be suitable. WebNov 20, 2024 · Hi, I am working on a new barebottom build and I attempt to adhere starboard to the bottom of my tank and failed. @WWC. The glass was dry and clean and it was an average Southern California day (70 degrees). I liberally applied aquarium silicone (from BRS) via a caulking gun to the glass and then placed the clean starboard on top. Web5200 is difficult to use with starboard. While it may stick to starboard if correctly prepared, I would not use it in this situation, especially dealing whit fuel lines.. Rescrew or throughbolt if able as mentioned above. I think, at a minimum and not recommended, would be to epoxy the starboard in place. festival of excellence suu 2023

Then put a thin layer on the whole board, fill the screw holes, then put the board on and move it around a little to get the sealant to adhere better. Then fill the screw holes from the outside of the board. Screw it in and be careful not to stripe the threads in the transom.
