Such surfaces promote dropwise condensation and easy droplet removal. WebChemical modification of the nanoporous anodic alumina structures offers a solution for the obtaining of hydrophobic surfaces. Herein, NAA surfaces were modified utilizing a hydrophobic surface coupling agent (1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyltrichlorosilane (FOTS)), in order to improve the hydrophobic properties of the material.
