The pickups are quite powerful, (though the T-15 doesn't really have a particularly distinctive sound of it's own), and plenty good enough to dupicate most of the Telecaster parts that I play. WebJun 18, 2024 · Around 1986, I bought a T-27, which was a huge improvement. I really enjoyed it, and boy, was it cheap. It had a bridge humbucker with the single-coil roll-off, and single-coil middle and neck pickups. They sounded very good. The neck was better, though the fingerboard was a little flat.
